Event Recap: A Powerful Weekend at the Equity and Social Justice Policy Summit

We had an amazing time at the 2nd Annual NOBEL Women Equity and Social Justice Policy Summit in Montgomery, AL! From March 7–9, policymakers, advocates, and thought leaders came together for an impactful weekend focused on advancing equity in education, healthcare, voting rights, and political representation.

 

Key Discussions Included:
  • Equity in Education – The role of HBCUs and the future of higher education for Black students.
  • Equity in Healthcare – Addressing disparities, access, and solutions for Black women’s health.
  • Black Women in Politics – Strategies to get Black women elected and re-elected.
  • Voting Rights – Combatting voter suppression and mobilizing our communities.

 

Special Highlight:

The summit concluded with the Edmund Pettus Bridge Crossing as part of the annual Selma Jubilee, honoring the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and reaffirming our commitment to justice.
